The Joy of Writing!

Hi Everyone,

Sandra Orchard here.

Lately writing has been peculiarly tough for me, but...I think I've come up with a remedy. As I write this, I'm sitting in the Buffalo airport waiting for a flight to Boston (and ultimately Martha's Vineyard). <grin>

Nothing like immersing yourself in a setting to write it well, right?

That's what I told my husband and he bought it. Ur, agreed. <wink> The $39 price tag on the flight helped!

So...by the time you're reading this, I will be playing, I mean researching [it is almost winter here after all] with my wonderful writing friend, Lisa Belcastro, who, by the way, writes awesome romances set on The Vineyard.

We will be scouting out perfect locations for someone to um...ur... expire.

A little nudge down the stairs should work nicely, don't you think?

I'm working on the third book in my upcoming new mystery series--Serena Jones Mysteries--which features an FBI art crime detective. And what better place to hunt down stolen art and antiquities than at the playground for the uber rich and famous?

If you haven't sampled my mysteries yet, this is a great time, because Deadly Devotion, the first book in my Port Aster Secrets mystery series (set in Niagara Canada) is free at online retailers right now.

To celebrate my hubby made me this cool video

Your Turn: Where would you most like to visit for research or fun?

  2. Hi Patricia!!

We are having so much fun doing Sandra's research. I had the pleasure of sprawling out on a bunch of rocks earlier so we could pretend I had fallen, cracked my skull, and expired. Sandra was kind enough to take my picture - LOL

  3. What fun, Sandra and Lisa. I'm keen to get to Israel one day both for the spiritual connection and also to research modern Tel Aviv and Ashdod.

Enjoy your holiday … oops, research trip. And don't trip down those stairs.
