What He writes

My small person drew on me in church yesterday. She was restless and I really wanted to hear the sermon, so I let her. By the time she was done, I had a blue I love you (complete with pink and purple heart) all the way up one arm, and a blueish-purple (the blue koki stopped working halfway through) You are stunning down the other.

After church we went jersey-hunting and I wore my colourful tattoos, feeling weird. I got some odd looks, but then I realised it didn't matter. Declarations of love are few and far between from my little toughy who is more likely to point out the pimple on your nose than anything good you may have going on. I'll take what I can get.

Most of it came off in the shower this morning, but I still carry faint pink marks on my skin.

It got me thinking though... When we write Truth, words that come from Father's heart, it is He himself who writes on the soul of the one reading. He takes the words and imprints them into our reader's spirit, a powerful vaccine against the lies of the enemy. One that cannot be washed off in the shower.

I love you.
You are mine.
Nothing can snatch you from My hand.
You may be broken, but come! See what I can do.

So as I plan my next book, the first thing I want to know is - Jesus, what do YOU want to write on the soul of my reader? Seems like a good place to start, right?

  1. Yes, a great place to start, Dianne. I'm always surprised by what the Lord draws out when I start typing away.

Blessings to you as you start out on your new adventure.

    1. So true Ian, I think revelation is what has me so hooked on writing. I love what I learn from Him as we write together.

      Thank you, and for you!
