TAKEN Giveaway!

It's been four years since I've been to Paris. And while I can't really explain why, there is something about that city that captured me from the first time I visited. There's a sense of history, the smells of fresh bread baking as you wonder narrow cobblestone streets, incredible architecture, and of course the famous Eiffel Tower amongst dozen of other spectacular landmarks.

I loved setting my latest romantic suspense in this city. It gave me a chance to revisit Notre Dam and the Louvre. The open markets and the beautiful banks of the Seine.

A bit more about TAKEN:

Kate Elliot's suburban life turns upside-down when her sister is shot and her niece kidnapped. Unsure of whom to trust, she turns to FBI agent, Marcus O'Brian. Against the handsome agent's orders, she tracks her niece to Paris, but the City of Lights quickly becomes a city of danger. When kidnappers demand a ransom, Marcus isn't sure how much longer he can keep Kate alive. Now Marcus has the next twenty-four hours to save a stolen child and the woman he's falling in love with.

Here are some of the photos from our last trip to Paris.

Your turn. Is there a city or place somewhere around the world that has captured your heart? I'd love to hear about it.

Let me know in a comment below. I'll draw one winner of Taken on Thursday, February 19th. Comments close at midnight, PST. A US address will receive a paperback copy. Outside the US will receive an ebook copy.

Happy Reading!

  2. Like you, Lisa, I love Paris. There's something just magically romantic about it. I was just there for New Year and we had this fabulous view of the Eiffel Tower from one of the few high-rise towers in the city.

On that trip we visited San Sebastian in Spain. It's on the Atlantic coast, it's small and a foodie's delight. So much good food, Spanish architecture and peaceful.

I've been trying to buy the Kindle version of Taken from Amazon. I'm wondering if your pub needs to nudge Amazon to allow non-US citizens to purchase it?

Trust the launch has been going well. There are some good reviews on Amazon.

  4. I have visited a few places overseas but never been anywhere long enough to fall in love with it. My husband and I had the chance to go to Malta and that was a beautiful area I'd love to go back to someday. And I've always dreamed of going to Venice. Otherwise, I enjoy the small towns where we've lived in Indiana.

  5. Love reading your answers! Ireland and Venice are both places I'd love to visit. And Ian, there is something about Paris that is magical. I will ask my publisher about the kindle version. That is frustration that is isn't available world wide. I'll check it out!

  7. My husband and I were able to go to Italy a few years back. I don't think I could choose between Venice, Rome, and Capri. They were all fabulous!!

  8. You all mention such beautiful places--even small towns in Indiana (and I don't mean Nashville!) I've spent time in the Brecon Beacons of Wales researching my book Honddu Vale as well as hiking bits of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. I would love to go back, but in February the very idea feels cold to me. What I would love to be doing is to cruise the Aegean Sea and visit islands with ancient Greek ruins--with my adventurous Valentine, of course!
