Crick in My Neck
I crane my neck peering up at the skyscraper. The sun makes me squint yet I cannot take my eyes off twisted steel and glass shimmering in the Windy City skyline. The genius of big city architects more than impresses this country girl. I'm amazed!
I try to ignore the crick in my neck as I gaze at Colorado's Pikes Peak. This moment will never come again. Snow capped areas blend with evergreen trees further down the mountain creating a greeting card ambiance tucked inside my box of treasured memories.
A far greater treasure is out of sight but not out of mind. I keep looking up... "You are great and powerful, glorious, splendid, and majestic. Everything in heaven and earth is yours, and you are king, supreme ruler over all (1 Chronicles 29:11 TEV)." God is over all!
With God all things are possible!

Love that quote "With God all things are possible"! Thanks for the reminder Pam :)
ReplyDeleteYes Pam, thank you for reminding us to "look up!" We often need to look beyond the mundane things of life and see there is far more "up there".
